Choose a pace before a route

A Cannes day charter can be planned around relatively close island scenery, with time for a meal and a suitable stop. It can also become a more passage-led day toward the Estérel. Decide which experience your group wants.

Combining every idea can leave less time for the moments that prompted the charter in the first place. Tell us whether anyone has a fixed evening engagement. The return berth and finish should be agreed before departure, with time for guests to disembark and continue ashore.

A restaurant or event booking should not depend on an optimistic passage estimate.

Make the stop work

If lunch ashore is part of the day, confirm the reservation and the way guests reach it. A tender or landing arrangement is not implicit in an island route. Lunch aboard may be simpler, provided the yacht has the right table and the catering is agreed.

The captain chooses a suitable stop for the conditions and current rules. The proposal should explain the yacht, crew, charter hours, fuel and food arrangements. Your private charter gives the group the agreed use of the yacht; it does not guarantee a particular anchorage or unrestricted access to every shore.

A day that works for guests with different priorities

One person may want to swim, another to photograph the islands and another simply to sit in the shade. A useful programme does not need a separate destination for each. Tell the organiser what the group wants to do at a stop, then let the captain assess a suitable place and timing.

If a guest is attending a Cannes event afterward, agree the final disembarkation time before choosing the outward route. Returning to the Vieux Port and returning to Port Canto can lead to different journeys ashore. The charter should not depend on guests crossing town faster than is sensible.

For lunch, decide early whether everyone stays aboard. A restaurant adds a table reservation and landing arrangements, which can reduce flexibility. A catered meal on the yacht has its own preparation needs but may leave more room to adapt the stopping place to conditions.
