Keep the gathering around the cockpit
A smaller Cannes party can stay close together through the passage and a later pause, rather than spreading between separate indoor and upper decks. The roof does not shade every position at every heading, so inspect the current covers and furniture before choosing a midday start.
This is a yacht for people who want the open-air setting to shape the day. The lower lounge offers another option, but it is a different experience from a main-deck room with broad sea views.
A separate lower living area
Below the cockpit, the original plan provides a saloon and galley alongside the route to the sleeping accommodation. This creates a sheltered place for food preparation and time out of the open air, though it is not the same as a glazed main-deck lounge with a sea view. The distinction matters for someone who expects to remain indoors for much of the charter. A party that enjoys the outdoor social space may appreciate the separation; a group wanting everyone at one bright indoor table may prefer another model arrangement.
Three cabins in the original arrangement
The brochure describes a double cabin and two twin guest cabins, giving a six-berth reference. For a short stay, use the offered plan to allocate rooms and discuss access to bathrooms. For a day charter, the more useful question may be whether a cabin is available for changing or a scheduled rest.
Neither the six berths nor the yacht’s model number sets a legal day capacity. Keep the required guest allowance separate from the sleeping layout when requesting a proposal, particularly if the day includes guests who will not remain overnight.
A Cannes route with room to pause
The Lérins Islands offer a nearby focus when the point of the outing is enjoying the cockpit, sunpad and a suitable swim stop. Swimming depends on the chosen place, conditions and the captain’s instructions; it is not implied by reaching an island. A coastal run towards the Esterel creates a different balance between passage and stationary time.
Decide which experience matters before selecting the charter hours. The confirmed marina also matters: Vieux Port and Port Canto lead to different guest meeting points, even though both are described as Cannes departures.
Original V56, not a newer V-series substitute
The technical reference here is the original 17.45-by-4.47-metre V56 in the 2010 brochure. A recent Princess V55 or another 56-foot listing should not supply its layout or imagery. Individual older yachts can have substantial changes to cockpit covers, upholstery and equipment, making present condition central to selection. Request the open cockpit and lower living arrangement that drew you to this model.
Charter questions
Does the V56 have an enclosed main-deck saloon?
The original design centres on the cockpit, with a separate saloon and galley below. It differs from an enclosed V62-S arrangement.
Does this guide cover the current Princess V55?
